You know it’s probably too warm for an ice festival when you have a hard time recognizing the melting ice sculptures.
We passed one that I thought looked like Strawberry Shortcake. To Annie’s dismay, she declared that it was NOT Strawberry Shortcake and that it was Darth Vader.
(To be fair, we were standing in front of a doll shop. And Darth could pull off a strawberry look if he didn’t wear all black, no?)
Here’s Mike posing with Strawberry Vader (whom he thought was a Storm Trooper):
Here’s one of the more recognizable sculptures:
A melting Elsa next to a block of ice that read, “The cold never bothered me anyway.”
Yep, it’s the warm air that really gets to Elsa.
Annie was not happy about Elsa melting and didn’t want her picture taken with her. But she and big sis Katie obliged anyway.
It’s supposed to rain later tonight and then snow.
Maybe by tomorrow Strawberry Vader will have transformed into an Ewok?
