The 8th Night of Hanukkah

Tonight is the eighth and last night of Hanukkah 2014.

It’s my favorite night of Hanukkah, when the menorah is full of brightly burning candles reflecting the promise of God’s provision.

Hanukkah–what a beautiful holiday of lights to commemorate the miracle of oil burning for eight whole days when it wasn’t expected to last even one day.

(Speaking of miracles, Daddy impressed the girls by running his finger over the flames without burning himself.)

“Even though it’s the last night of Hanukkah, God’s miracles don’t end,” we told the girls.  “Miracles are not things that happened only in the past.  God’s miracles can still happen today.”

“Yep, I know,” Annie replied.  “Because God did a miracle last night.  My stomach was hurting so I prayed to Him and then He made my stomach feel better.  So it was a miracle!”

May we always be blessedly aware of miracles happening around us.

Happy Hanukkah!
