Mike’s company Lane Automotive recently celebrated 50 years by hosting a picnic that included a carnival complete with a ferris wheel, flying swings, a sack-race slide, and some kiddie rides.
A good time was had by all!
Especially on the swings…
Big guy Uncle Randy even rode the swings. Here is his “Before” picture:
… and “After”
(Just kidding. Randy survived the swings just fine.)
Grampy Spraker rode on the swings too!
My dad even challenged Randy to a sack race on the slides.
It was a close call, but Randy won the race by a foot (literally).
There was also a carousel.
And apparently it was a pretty scary ride for some of us.
Towards the end of the day, there were pony rides offered, along with this really cute
dog miniature horse.
Katie and Annie enjoyed riding the horses–without being attached to a pole or going in repeated circles.
“That was the first time for me!” Annie declared.
Katie’s missed riding horses and so she was happy to be back in the saddle again.
It was a great day.
And to top it off, Mike found out that he won a hammock in the employee lottery.
Thanks Lane Automotive and Happy 50!
